The short version

There is no account, no sign-up, and no email address to give us.

Your own board stays on your phone. Your prayers, your Daily Graces, your reflections and your board design are never uploaded anywhere. We cannot read them, because we never receive them.

Prayers you share to a circle do leave your phone — they have to, or the others in your circle could not see them. Those prayers are stored on Google's servers so your circle can read them. Nothing else is.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, or store any personal information about you.

There is no account to create. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or any third-party measurement tools. No one at Nursery Design Studio LLC can read what you write in Willow Chapel.

What stays on your device

Everything you make in Willow Chapel is stored on your phone, in the app's private storage:

• Your prayers, and which envelope each one is in
• Your Daily Graces entries and evening reflections
• Envelope names and how you've arranged your board
• Which boards, frames, papers and stickers you've chosen
• Your settings

This information never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.

Backups. Because this data lives in the app's normal storage, it is included in your iPhone's own backup if you have iCloud Backup or a computer backup turned on. Those backups are managed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us — we have no access to them.

Prayer circles — where sharing actually happens

A prayer circle lets you share particular prayers with people you invite. It is entirely optional.

If you never create or join a circle, Willow Chapel makes no network connection at all, and no data of any kind leaves your phone.

If you do use a circle, understand plainly what that means: a prayer you share to a circle is uploaded to Google's servers. That is how the other phones in your circle are able to see it. There is no other way for them to.

It takes three deliberate steps — you create or join a circle, you type a prayer into the circle's own box, and you tap "Share with the circle." Nothing moves from your private board into a circle on its own, ever.

The following is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore) so the members of your circle can see it:

• The prayers you explicitly choose to share to that circle
• The display name you enter for yourself
• The circle's name and its invite code
• Which prayers have had a candle lit for them, and by whom
• An anonymous identifier assigned by Firebase so the app can tell circle members apart. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.

Your board is still not shared. Prayers in your own envelopes, your Daily Graces, your reflections and your board design are never uploaded — not even while you are a member of a circle. The two are kept entirely separate. Only what you type into the circle and tap "Share" on ever leaves your phone.

Who can read it. Only people who have joined that circle. Our security rules restrict access to circle members, prevent anyone from altering the words of someone else's prayer, and allow only the person who shared a prayer to delete it.

Google acts as our data processor for this. Their handling of it is governed by the Firebase Data Processing Terms and Google's Privacy Policy.

Leaving a circle

Tap Leave this circle in the circle. This deletes your membership record and every prayer you shared to that circle. Your own board and prayers are untouched.

To request deletion of anything else, email hello@willowchapel.app and we will action it within 30 days.

Purchases

Bloom subscriptions are handled by Apple and processed through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details, card number, or billing address.

We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous purchase identifier and the status of your subscription. It does not receive your prayers or anything you write in the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for their practices.

What we deliberately do not do

• We do not use AI to read, analyse, summarise or learn from your prayers
• We do not sell, rent, or share data with anyone
• We do not advertise, or allow anyone else to advertise, in this app
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not build a profile of you

Children

Willow Chapel is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to hold in any case.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (Europe), the CCPA/CPRA (California), or similar laws — to access, correct, delete, or export your information.

Because your prayers are stored only on your own device, you already hold and control them directly. For anything shared to a circle, the Leave this circle button deletes it, or you can write to us at hello@willowchapel.app.

We do not sell personal information, and never have.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app.
