Terms of Use — Willow Chapel

Willow Chapel is published by Nursery Design Studio LLC, 1 Stacys Way, Acton, MA 01720, United States ("we", "us").

By downloading or using Willow Chapel you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

1. What you're getting

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Willow Chapel on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its artwork.

The artwork, illustrations, written reminders, and design in Willow Chapel are original work owned by Nursery Design Studio LLC. Scripture quotations are from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.

2. What's yours

Your prayers and writing belong to you. We claim no ownership of anything you write in Willow Chapel, and no licence to use it. We never receive it — it stays on your device.

The single exception is a prayer circle. When you share a prayer to a circle, you are choosing to make that text visible to the other members of that circle. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to store and display it to them, and nothing else. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.

3. Prayer circles — the rules

Circles are optional. If you use one, these rules are not negotiable.

3.1 Zero tolerance

You may not post anything abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable, and you may not harass, impersonate, or bully anyone in your circle.

There is no tolerance for this. None.

3.2 How we enforce it

• Every member can report any shared prayer, and block any other member.
• We review every report within 24 hours.
• Content that doesn't belong is removed.
• The person who posted it is removed from Willow Chapel and may be barred from using the app again.
• We may act without warning where the content is serious.

3.3 Also not allowed

Sharing another person's private information; using a circle for advertising, solicitation, or fundraising; anything unlawful; or anything that infringes someone else's copyright.

3.4 Reporting

Report from inside the app, or write to safety@willowchapel.app. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — we are not an emergency service and cannot respond that way.

4. Bloom subscriptions

Bloom is an auto-renewing subscription at $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• It renews automatically at the same price each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• All billing is handled by Apple, not by us. Refunds are at Apple's discretion under the App Store Terms of Service. We cannot issue them.
• Bloom unlocks the boards, frames, papers, stickers and features described in the app at the time of purchase, plus new seasonal content while your subscription is active. We may add or change content over time.

5. Your prayers, and keeping them

Willow Chapel stores your prayers on your device. They are included in your iPhone's own backup if you have backups enabled.

We cannot recover your prayers. We never have a copy. If you delete the app without a backup, or lose the device, they are gone. We are not liable for lost content, and we'd gently encourage you to keep device backups on.

6. Not a substitute for help

Willow Chapel is a tool for personal prayer and reflection. It is not counselling, therapy, medical care, spiritual direction, or crisis support, and must not be relied on as any of those.

If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional, your pastor, or a crisis line in your country. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

7. What we don't promise

The app is provided "as is". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will always be available. Circle features depend on a network connection and third-party services that can fail.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nursery Design Studio LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country that cannot be waived.

8. Ending it

You may stop using Willow Chapel at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, particularly section 3.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app. Continuing to use Willow Chapel after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
